Human Trafficking Investigator (HTI) is project to help the personnels involved in controlling the trafficking of the humans. The faces of the possible victims, captured from mobile devices, will be matched with the list of missing people who are suspected of being trafficked.

Human trafficking is an endemic problem in South Asia, mainly the girls trafficking for sexual exploitation. Large number of women are taken from Nepal to India via the Southern border of Nepal. There has been a significant amount of effort from the organizations like Maiti Nepal and people like 2010's CNN Hero Anuradha Koirala to fight against these heinous activities. Our project is an attempt to help these people and organizations to be more effective in controlling these activities by providing them with what the state of the art technology can do the best.

The list of girls who are lost and are suspected of being trafficked are added to the server with their photos. At the border area where the controlling personnel look for suspicious victims will have mobile phone with them. They can take a picture of a possible victim, match the face with the server and can be sure of the girls status.
